30 day blogging challenge completed
Saturday, May 30th, 2009I kicked of my blog on the 1st of May 2009 and challenged myself to post on 30 consecutive days and this is the 30th day and I'm posting again so I've done it... I mentioned yesterday that I'd be cracking open the champers so here we go
So what have I learned? If you're thinking about starting a blog, go for it! If you think you can't do it, your wrong I did and you can too. If your lacking inspiration and ideas.. feed off other bloggers, I've definitely done this! Don't worry your not copying, your just developing your own style and putting your own spin on other peoples thoughts and ideas!
I have a definite sense of achievement from completing 30 days on the trot. More importantly and depending on how your blog evolves I would say that you will learn something new every day that your working on your blog. This is my site and I'm enjoying the challenge of getting it up and running with content and I'm constantly thinking of new ideas of how to improve the site. I know it doesn't look like it but I've done a lot behind the scenes in an effort to improve the look of this blog. I won't be changing anything on the site until I come up with a more complete solution but I'm working on it all the time.
I also have to say that I've had lots of ideas for other sites during the past 30 days. I was unsure where I'd go with this blog when I started out but I think I have a feel for where it's going now! As I said, I got a great sense of achievement from completing the 30 days in a row and I can use this blog as a place to challenge myself to get my online projects and ideas moving and completed in a similar fashion.

There's lots of things I'm not happy about too like the look of this blog but I'm not going to be too hard on myself about it! It will get done and more and more ideas and projects will get started and completed as a result of this blog!
I could go on and on about what I got out of starting my blog but the most important thing I'll say is to get it started and keep at it! Yes this blog is a long way of where I want it to be but it's started, it's 30 days old and I've no plans on giving up on it now. It might sound easy but it's hard to get to your computer everyday and ensure you're adding content and (hopefully a bit of) value to your blog!
So am I giving up now? No way! next milestone is to hit 50 posts! I'll be doing this by the end of June and I already have 100 posts in mind too! I want to focus on creating an online CV out of this blog of what I can achieve and by the 100th post I hope that it's a pretty valid addition to my offline CV too!
I have a very busy week ahead of me and I'm not sure I'll get time to post 'every' day from now on but I want to and will try to. No matter what, I'll be up to 50 by the end of June and I'll have a lot more progress on the look of this site. That's a cert!
