My very first post! 1st of May 2009. I was going to start my blog last week but thought I'd start off fresh on a new month. Hopefully I'll look backon this decision some day and say that's $5,000 (note to self dollar sign is hash code 36) I lost not starting this thing earlier Wishful thinking I know! But that's my goal, to use this as a platform to generate my ideas, connect with others and hopefully make a living online. How am I going to do this? Well at the minute I have a few ideas of my own, but I guess I'm going to look around at what other successful bloggers and internet entrepreneurs have done and try to learn from their experience. I'm Including the following screenshot of how my blog looked before this post as a reminder of how I started out (out of small acorns great oaks grow and all that):

You can see I haven't done anything with the default WordPress theme except widen it, courtesy of cenolan.com. Suppose one of my first challenges will be to develop my own theme using this as a base, and integrate some of the WordPress widgets and plugins to enhance the look of my blog. On a personal note, I started this blog because I was spending a lot of the time reading other peoples blogs and got interested in it. A lot of the successful bloggers advise people on how to blog, the advise that everyone seems to give is to post almost every day to keep your readers interested and also to stop reading and start doing! So that's what I'm going to do.. i'll set myself a challenge to post on here every day for at least 30 days. I'll then review my position and see if I'm enjoying the blogging experience. Off I go now to think of more ideas of how to make money online... hopefully I can post some of these ideas on here soon and get working on them and share my experiences. Jeeeeez... what the hell am I gonna write about tomorrow ?!??!!
