I mentioned that I signed up to Twitter a few days back.

I'm new to blogging and I'm new to Twitter and I'm not 100% sure who to follow! I've been on Twitter 3 days and I have 34 followers and I'm following 29 people. I've only directly went and followed 4 people myself and 2 of them have come back and followed me, so that leaves 32 people that have come to follow me out of nowhere! Obviously there's lots of tools to use with Twitter to increase your following etc. but I was thinking to myself, why are they following me and who the hell should I follow back so I had to come up with my own rules.

Here's my rules for who to follow:
1. I'm gonna follow anyone that follows me and if I don't like what they are saying I'll drop them like a bad habit in a new year's resolution.
2. Anyone that even has a hint of pushing advertising or marketing material in my face that I don't like they're gone too!
3. Anyone who doesn't share common interests with me or is in anyway abusive in their tweets, see ya later!

For now that's gonna be it! Am I missing something? Am I way of the mark here or does everyone make up their own rules?

I'll leave it at that for now and revise this when I become more active on Twitter and find out exactly what it's all about...
